Í Gildi Overprint Settings and Varieties History
When Iceland's Í Gildi overprints of 1902-1903 were printed, there were insufficient 0s of the correct type face, hence, 2 different sizes of 0 were used when making up the plate used for overprinting.

The first pass (stamps 1 to 50) is referred to as 'X' and the second pass (stamps 51 to 100) as 'Y'. Therefore a printing variety found on stamp 1 will also, normally, be found on stamp 51.
For the 1st batch of overprints (setting 1A) the layout of the 4 types in the form were:
